Submission Guidelines
You don’t need to be a writer to send us a submission; we will edit your article and send you a draft for approval before publishing on Awe in Autism.
For submissions about, or on behalf of, someone on the autism spectrum…
Please send an article or essay not to exceed 500 words, including a bio not to exceed 75 words. In addition, please provide a photo of yourself (or, if you are submitting work on behalf of someone with autism, a photo of him/her.) Photos should be taken at the highest resolution possible and sent as JPG files. We also ask that you send a personal comment reflecting the perspective of the individual featured in the article. You may also send any additional photos that may be relevant, as well as MP3 files, video links and your website/Facebook/Twitter.
For those with autism who wish to submit creative works and who need assistance…
Please send us an email at [email protected]. We’ll be happy to help you with your submission.
In keeping with our mission and policy, we ask that contributors refrain from promoting a particular treatment or therapy in essays or other information provided for feature content. If your submission is accepted, we will gladly link to your website where people can learn more about your personal views.
If you represent a research organization or learning institution/website and wish to be considered for our Resources section, please send a brief description of your mission and goals, as well as your website address, to [email protected]. Though it is not required, we kindly ask you to reciprocate if we post a link to your site.
